Who this is for

This site exists for people planning to travel in Papua New Guinea — tourists, researchers, or anyone trying to find out what a place is actually like before they go. Place pages aim to be useful to a traveller first: how to get there, what to expect, and what's worth knowing.

How entries are put together

Travel diary entries are first-hand accounts of real visits. Place pages may start as short, factual stubs and grow over time; where a place page isn't yet based on a personal visit, that will be clear from the page itself.
